A brief explanation of the different types of numbers we offer.

Regular Local Number (10DLC)

These numbers are regular phone numbers in any area code. They allow you to send up to 3,000 messages a day. These are the most commonly used numbers.

Registration and approval is 1 to 3 weeks.

Details

  • These numbers are great for reminders, alerts, and two-way conversations. 

  • These are meant for light blasting or localized messaging.

  • You can pick your number in your own area code.

  • They can be instantly set up for use, but registration is required.

  • A private number that is only assigned to you.

  • Call forwarding is available (1 credit per minute).

  • You can set up voicemail.

  • You can send standard text messages (SMS) for 1 credit or enhanced text messages (MMS) for 2 credits.

Toll-Free Number

These numbers are toll-free, starting with 833, 844, 855, or 866. They allow you to send as many messages as needed per day.

Registration and approval is 1 to 3 weeks.

  • These are great for multilocation or national organizations.

  • These numbers are great for marketing, reminders, alerts, and two-way conversations and can be used for blasting.

  • They can be instantly set up for use, but registration is required.

  • A private number that is only assigned to you.

  • Call forwarding is available (1 credit per minute).

  • You can set up voicemail.

  • You send standard text messages (SMS) for 1 credit or enhanced text messages (MMS) for 2 credits.

  • 4 - 6 week registration setup time.


Dedicated Shortcode Number

A shortcode is a shortened phone number (5 or 6 digits) used to send large-volume commercial or marketing-type text messages. Some examples are 33133 and 85463.

Registration and approval is 8 to 12 weeks.

Details

  • These numbers are great for marketing, significant volume, and big brands.

  • Unlimited messages per day.

  • 70 - 100 messages per second speeds.

  • A private number that you own.

  • Unlimited free keywords.

  • You pay for inbound and outbound messages.
